The Sculptor

Dennis Fairweather is self taught and began working with clay while running a trout and salmon farm on the west coast of Scotland in the 1970's

After moving to Hertfordshire with his young family, he began working on highly figurative sculptures. The Sculptor Dennis Fairweather in his Studio This grew into a small business partnership, with Dennis making the originals which were then reproduced and sold nationally and internationally.

In the early 1990's, Dennis became much more interested in shape, texture and form and he began to create sculptures that were suitable for the garden.

In 1993, Dennis took these sculptures to the RHS show at Hampton Court Palace garden show , this first contact with the RHS resulted in an invitation to exhibit at the world famous Chelsea Flower Show.

Both my wife Sue and myself hope you have enjoyed looking around the web-site and seeing examples of my work.

Please give us a call on 01983 754 407 or send us an e-mail to fairweathersculpture@gmail.com if you would like to know any more.

All sculptures are cast in solid bronze resin with a skillfully applied patination. The surface, being 80% bronze, reacts very well with the atmosphere and does change over time, but can be polished back to show the bronze highlights if required.

The sculptures are completely frostproof making them suitable for the garden. They can withstand all climates from the winter cold of Russian to the summer heat of Australia.

We are very much looking forward to hearing from you about any subject that may wish to discuss.
